FAQ’s

  • What type of steel do you use?

Durability and the ability to support as thin of geometry as possible are the most important factors I consider when I design my knives. The majority of my blades use 52100 ball bearing steel which has a storied history in knife making and fits these needs perfectly. Occasionally I will do models in W2 and every so often stainless.

  • Do you take custom requests?

    No.

I choose to release blades as one offs or in small batches as I complete them. If a model is not available I encourage you to subscribe to the newsletter to be updated when products ae going to be released.

  • Are your blades forged?

My blades are crafted using stock removal methods. Which simply means my knives are shaped by hand using a 2x72 belt grinder and hand tools vs primarily with a hammer.

  • Can I cancel or change my order?

Order cancellations are subject to the following Terms and Conditions:

You may cancel your order, for any reason, and receive a full refund provided your order has not been shipped or we are in the process of shipping it.

  • Will you ship internationally?

Yes. Please note international shipment rates are expensive and require additional transit time for delivery.

Please see our Shipping/Handling section for more specific information.

  • How often are blades available

I recommend subscribing to the newsletter to get alerts when a blade/s will be available. KHK is a passion project and creative outlet first and not my primary job. Thus, blades are made and released when I have time and on a limited bases. The newsletter is not for spam purposes and will only be used for notification of available pieces.
